The American city of Orlando, Florida is probably the busiest in the whole of the USA with Orlando area timeshare vacations catering for theme park addicts, but there are many other attractions to please visitors. There are also numerous museums, art galleries, visitor's flea markets, wildlife sanctuaries and places of historical interest to see in Orlando. If you enjoy shopping then you will love Orlando; it has plenty of malls and stores like Outdoor World which is so large it contains a 17,000 gallon aquarium and you could spend all day there. The Central Florida Zoo for instance only opened back in 1975 and was owned by the Sanford Fire Department prior to that but is now the home to over four hundred animals. The zoo has a charity status and is dedicated to the preservation of all exotic animals, including those that are only found in Florida.
You may have heard of the name Tiffany's but did you know that it was way back in 1942 that the Morse Museum in Winter Park that started displaying the collections of Louis Tiffany. This collection comprises Tiffany art glass, clay ware and ornaments plus the chapel interior designed for the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893.
No adult, despite any thoughts to the opposite, could go to Orlando and find nothing of interest as the range of attractions for both the young and old is huge. If you are looking for a variety of night life then it is in abundance when you vacation in Orlando with a wide range of street entertainment, bars, restaurants and clubs.
If you are more technology and science minded then a trip to the Orlando Science Center will be a must as is a huge complex incorporating 10 halls with exhibitions everything from the Florida Everglades to the plains of Mars. An alternative to this would be the International Trolley and Train Museum which can be found along International Drive and has one of the country's largest operating indoor G gauge layouts in a space of over four thousand square feet.
The Titanic – Ship of Dreams Exhibition can also be found along International Drive; this is a moving, often eerie depiction of the great Ocean Liner with a tour guide depicting a character from the ship with many original items on display. Lake Eola Park on the other hand has a pleasant 43 acres to stroll around and relax or perhaps a little boating on the lake.
Now you couldn't possibly visit Orlando without a trip to the numerous theme parks including Disney World, Universal Studios and of course not to forget the fantastic Sea World. To make the most of your Orlando vacation try to visit outside of traditional holiday periods if you want to avoid the crowds.
